I pride myself in my creative mind that I am able to apply to multiple fields, such as developing questions and solutions, creating media and content, and finding ways to optimally involve myself in every scenario. In combination with my personality type, I am a revolutionary member of every involvement I encounter. I exhibit an entertainer personality type and therefore take pride in my ability to create individualized, meaningful, and lasting impacts. Naturally, I am driven to satisfy the needs of others prior to my own.

While my persona definitively pointed towards helping others, my journey to Public Health was certainly not straightforward. As an adolescent, I was a frequent flier to healthcare facilities, be the ER, admitted units, clinics, PT, PCP, specialists, and more; I became very comfortable in this setting. However, it was not until my high school years that my drive for a change was inspired, when I feel I truly experienced the flaws of our US healthcare system. I was experiencing chronic pain, visiting numerous specialists, completing plenty of exams and tests and never saw an end of sight but rather felt like I was stuck in a "loophole" in the system; This drove my aspiration to focus on the healthcare system from the back end or systematic end of things. In the future, I am highly interested in pursuing a Master's Degree in Health Administration; However, I am excited to enter the field to gain experience prior to doing so. 

 

Throughout my time at the University of Florida, I have been able to extensively develop my knowledge and skillset in areas related to public health; I have included some of my most prideful projects or pieces I myself have either created or contributed to within this portfolio. I hope you enjoy and find interest in my approaches taken! I am eager to begin applying my ideas, knowledge, and experiences in working with like-minded individuals driven to inspire and create change in a system in dire need at all levels of society.
